One of the two girls came about twenty minutes later. She told me her dream is a writer but refused to draw it, arguing that it is too hard to draw a book. I persuaded her to try it, insisting that it is nowhere as hard as she perceives it to be. She ended up creating a meme by placing Loopy's face on top of a scene from Crayon Shin-chan. I think media has significantly contributed to the glorification of smoking and drinking. Most of the pictures they generated so far include at least one of them. Day 10 of Computer Club. Today I had the students think about their future. Specifically, I asked them to draw their future appearance twenty years later. The boy arrived first and began working. He aims to become a soccer player. He first extracted Pororo from an image. Then he cropped Ronaldo's uniform from a picture of him and imposed it on Pororo. He also added a soccer ball and a subtitle. Then he added a modified version of Loopy smoking. #MilitaryService #ComputerClass

I thanked all of the kids for their magnificent opinions. This is one of the distinctive features of my class - students have a say in the curriculum. If the kids have a suggestion they can just come to me at any time and tell me. Then it becomes the topic of the day within a few days. After VP's expansion proposal yesterday, some enthusiastic students kept coming to me, asking whether the two new students had been selected. As no concrete plan was laid out yet, I instead asked those who reached out to me what activities they wanted to do once they got their hands on the new computers.
