You buy a $500 CD, and then can see all the loans in your credit union that are currently seeking investment, w/ borrowers allowed to adjust who can see their requests. Anyone can "buy" up to 5% of any particular loan currently in its offering period, with the credit union taking an administration fee (if the loan is for 6%, your participation in it earns 5%, or something).
