…and I forgot the 1 minute rest that was supposed to be the 3rd minute… so 15 rounds instead of 10. It was nasty but nice!
Supposed to choose around 60% of 1rm, supposed to be 48, rounded it upwards to 55kg. It went well, planning to challenge myself with 60 next time.

This month’s challenge: #crossfitlinchpin test 9. I did the scaled version because scaling is cool! And because the rx’ed handstand walks won’t happen any time in the foreseeable future. And because my shoulders are already more than properly challenged with this volume of push-ups.
This is a nasty one. Even with all the rest in the push ups, my heart rate averaged on 162/min.

Since a week, I found a new ‘home’ to workout. This outdoor gym in Nijmegen gathers all the crazies: powerlifters, bodybuilders, yogi, and now we are sprinkling in some crossfit. All in the beautiful outdoors under a bridge.

Well… that was a surprise!
Was expecting not so much as I’ve been bouldering a lot in the last months and neglecting strength a bit. But investing in back squat positioning in the last months/year (to get rid of stripper squat issues) paid off!
Weights are the max of what I can do with reasonable form, next goal is to do them all 87,5 when this 7x2 pops up again!

Fun, it was! But the heart rate was challenging after all…
For time: 30 clean & jerk, I went for just-above-scaled version, at 45kg/100lbs and completed in 9.47 min. Next time at 50kg!
Yay! The first workout on the new (almost new) Concept2 rower.
Decided to take it easy on the pull-ups as there were a LOT of them. In round 2, shoulders felt very okay, so I pushed a bit more. This is progression! 😃

Respect the heavy days! With good warmup and decent rest, it took me 58 minutes to complete this 5x3.
75kg back squat is very light for many, I can do more, but they look… ‘questionable’ at best. 👀 Currently focusing on fixing my “stripper squat” problem. So only SFW (safe for workout 😉) weights, paused in the bottom of the squat and increasing weight only when good form. #crossfit #crossfitlinchpin
