#Academics does anyone have experience with #axial qualitative coding?

I'm doing some open coding in #nvivo and read about someone who has done axial coding, which sounds like an amazing theoretical development of the open coding, and wondered if anyone knows more about it?
- can it be done in a software?
- can it be done relatively straightforwardly?
