Looking back at old photographs and there's that I had sketched this #greenman from a book of old carvings found in UK churches.

The green man has always been a source of fascination for me over the years.

There are numerous claims and counter claims from both #pagan and #Christian perspectives; but I think he is the calm embodiment of the fecundity of #nature and represents the inevitable circle and cycle of life.

I may get round to doing a proper painting one of these days.
