My #ClassicalArabic class won't formally start for another couple weeks Insha Allah. But the prep materials I reviewed last night reminded me that I need a good workflow to be able to write out answers for my lessons.

One nice little #FlashCard type of exercise: I have one of those magic "top 500 words in the Quran" lists. To help me memorize those words, I can use the Lexilogos keyboard to type individual letters and diacriticals, and the resulting words are displayed on screen. Then I can plug those words into Quran.com and do a search... and the ayat containing the word come up.

And guess what, my input does not have to exactly match the way the words are written in Quran.com to find a correct match in terms of meaning. The diacriticals tend to be the variants: the sukoon can be written in a different style, for example.
