"I'm miraculously alive! Thank you all for your kind words and support! My well-being, of course, wants to be better, but the worst is definitely behind me. This is my story for the rest of my life," wrote the #Ukrainian pilot.

#Dmytro added that an operation and further rehabilitation await him, but he hopes that everything will be fine. The pilot did not provide details of the incident.

He was rescued by our fighters from the 80th brigade. #Dmytro lost a hand and two fingers. Received the "Hero of #Ukraine" award.

In this photo, another fighter, #AndriySobkovskyi, is next to me. He survived after the occupiers attacked a military unit in the #Vinnytsia region. He was under the rubble for 11 hours. Andriy lost two legs.

The guy in the jacket is #DanyloMelnyk, deputy platoon commander of the 14th brigade. He was seriously wounded in the #Borodyansk district.

In #Washington, #OleksiiHoncharenko had the opportunity to meet real heroes who fought and survived despite everything.

In the first photo, #DmytroFinashyn. He is a sniper, a fighter of the special forces company of the #Kulchytsky battalion. In May last year, after a battle in the #Kharkiv region, #Dmytro was wounded in both hands and body. He himself lay in the front-line zone for two days, drank water from puddles, crawled to keep warm.

Major Andrii "#Livsha" Verhoglyad dreamed of becoming a soldier since childhood. His grandfather and father were soldiers, Andriy and his brother #Dmytro chose the same profession. Andriy fought for Ukraine since 2016, was wounded several times, but returned to the front every time.

On June 22, 2022, 27-year-old #AndriyVerkhoglyad died in battle on the #Svitlodar arc.
