Thought I’d share one of my favorite “green” modes of transportation, my 2018 Juice’d Bikes RipCurrant S.

Have had this bike up to 32 mph on flat ground peddling my butt off along with using maximum electric power and have ridden it all over the trails in Duluth and nearby trail systems.

The wide low pressure fat tires make for an interesting ride on or off-road plus the Cirrus Cycles KINEKT 2.1 Aluminum Bike Seat post suspension combination with the Brooks B-17 saddle also smoothes out the worst bumps here, and we have some of the worst frost heaved streets in the Midwest.

We have many miles of paved and maintained unpaved trails around Duluth for most cyclists riding pleasure.

Duluth has partnered with several organizations to develop an extensive mountain bike system around the hills of Duluth as well, so it’s becoming a destination point for mountain bike riders. 🚲

I have lived in the People's Republic of Berkeley since 1961. During and after Berkeley in the 60's, I became an attorney, fleeing that 10 years later. I have been a guitarist and vocalist, and a mountain bike advocate for several decades. In my dotage, I became an advocate for eMTBs. I co-founded the International Mountain Bicycling Association in the late 80's, and participated in many trail and open space groups over the years. Here are some of the things that interest me:

Transport can’t be decarbonised in time to meet the Paris. We have to reduce the demand for transport too with public transport and other forms of #SharedTransport, such as ridesharing apps and #ElectricBicycles for short journeys.

I'm seriously considering an N+1 bicycle now the eMoped has gone.
It'd be an electric bicycle - currently looking at hub geared step-through hybrid types with racks (and I like the look of belt drives).
Range not too important but I'd like 40 miles

Gazzelle Ultimate C8 HMB is nice, but out of stock everywhere in my frame size.

Other thoughts welcome.
