Did not work on organising the studio, but did get out the soldering iron and worked on one of the many disassembled #guitars.
Now have the ES running in parallel.
I put teflon tape on everything as rattles distract me and now the strings aren't earthed.
Wrapped an old string from the trapeze to the jack... do for now.
Important lesson: if you solder with the guitar plugged into an amp that's turned on, you get a shock when you touch the solder to the tip 🤣
