The JANUS camera onboard the JUICE spacecraft is certainly more capable than Juno's JunoCam in terms of detector size, aperture size and resolution; it is comparable to the imager on Galileo in resolution. See table below.
JANUS = Jovis, Amorum ac Natorum Undique Scrutator, Latin for "comprehensive observation of Jupiter, his love affairs and descendants." 😀

The solar panels, antennas, probes and booms are now fully deployed on the ESA Jupiter Icy Moons Explorer (JUICE) spacecraft, about 6 weeks after launch.
Most instruments have been check out, including the JANUS camera/imager which took a sequence of 7 test images of a star field centered around eta Cyg in the Cygnus constellation.

Next steps include an engine burn to shake the spacecraft and a series of rotations that will turn #ESAJuice, warming up the mount and antenna which are currently in cold shadows.

We’re pleased to share a first taste of #ESAJuice science data! 🤩
The magnetometer boom (J-MAG) recorded the change in magnetic field as it deployed.
J-MAG will help characterise Jupiter & Ganymede's magnetic fields, and the moons' oceans.
