I rarely try to draw flowers these days. They are impossible to get right!

We were sitting in the #garden in the shade of a parasol and this rose caught my eye.

Unfortunately there's no smell-a-toot enabled on this instance or you'd get a whiff of a delightful fragrance.

It kept me amused for a bit.

Were shades of mauve different then?

As an aside, this is the only species of rhododendron that is an invasive weed, and it is strongly recommend to avoid planting it. I discovered it’s listed under Sch 9 of the Wildlife & Countryside Act, which means it is illegal to plant it in the wild or to allow it to spread from your property….but its beauty is alive in these pages.
