@fuguestateknits Hmmm. Maybe it's not a #Fricke ? But my advice is the same, try using a larger whorl and adjusting the take-up. :) When you're learning how to #spin, your first yarn will be #artyarn , lovely thick/thin yarn that probably has too much twist. But when you have more experience spinning, you'll have a heck of a time #spinning thick/thin #yarn again. LOL You'll have to work at it. :)

@fuguestateknits My first #spinning #wheel was a #Fricke ! I bought it used and it was quite the workhorse. Try adjusting the tension on the brake so the yarn is drawn in faster. Jump to 3:30 in the video linked below for where the brake knob is. Also, try using a larger whorl so there are fewer revolutions per treadle.
