2/2 Of the 9 current parilament parties, only 3 has officially aligned, that their aim is to end #FurFarming; The Greens, The Left Alliance and the Social Democrats. In SPP and in NCP (both currently in the government) the opinions are some what divided, while most of the members of The Finns Party, Christian Democrats (both in the government) The Centre Party and Movement Now are for fur farming.

Now with the #AvianFlu it might get some more votes, but will see.

1/2 Once in while some good news from #Finland.

Yesterday a citizen iniative for banning #FurFarming opened.

Already now it has collected over 85 K signatures. The amount that the parliament must take a citizen iniative in a process is 50 K signatures. The iniative got that already yesterday evening.

Would it be enough to ban fur farming? Well, as you already now we have a conservative-far right government at the moment, so it doesn't look good.

in regards of the bird flu, mutated virus has been found on 4 different fur farm. health authorities to start inspecting each fur farm, they hope that the virus will be fully eradicated by early October but not all the farms can be inspected so fast.
