I’m so sad to hear about the loss of George. He was a hero in every sense of the word, as were all the crews of 617 Squadron. I own so many items signed by him. Books, cards, a souvenir edition of the Dambusters DVD, and to cap it all, a huge model replica of a Lancaster that flew in one of the raids.
RIP, and thank you George. We owe you so much and you won’t be forgotten.
