Long and short of it, the article was mostly decent, though it left out some details and portrayed the change as more civil than it actually was (one editor was called out since he opposed on the basis of "a trans recommended this, it's obviously bad faith propaganda" (paraphrased), ignoring all the policy that supported the change). I must confess, I was surprised to be mentioned in the @theatlantic, more surprised (and honestly perhaps a little disappointed) they weren't that critical given their usual "reporting" on trans topics.
