I popped on to the bird site to see what it's saying about #HollyCairns. Oh My. Some amount of vitriol from tiny wee accounts. This is actually great news, as she must be considered a threat. But also we should all be aware of the amount of undermining and negative briefing they will be attempting, they will come for her hard.

I'm totally delighted that my local #WestCork TD #HollyCairns is set to be the new leader of the #SocDems. I know Holly to be a genuinely ethical individual who gets it. Even though I don't support the idea of a party based political system (is having a competition for who gets to run the country actually a good idea?) I think that Holly brings something new and fresh to #Irish #Politics, and I wish her every success. I wonder is she our #Jacinda or #Nicola?
