On the 90th anniversary of the Holodomor of 1932-1933, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky and First Lady Olena Zelenska took part in a ceremony to commemorate the victims of the famine in Ukraine.

It shows how far Ukraine has come in 20 years that these things are now commemorated. The Holodomor memorial and museum didn't exist when we were in Kyiv. I don't recall a Memorial Day. People told me about what happened, but there wasn't anything official that I knew of.
