Good morning from my Norway #spruce #forest in #bugey #france. My abandoned vineyard of three hectares was a jungle seven years ago. Two previous owners had neglected it for twenty years. This #conifer forest is gradually being killed by spruce bark beetle but I am nursing an understory of deciduous trees: #holly #beech #hornbeam #rowan #hawthorn. The conifers grow near the seasonal stream which used to flow nine months a year but #globalheating reduces it to four months. #drought
