If I say Ancient Egyptians were whitewashed, no one would say I am being racist. Because we all know they weren’t Europeans and past representation as white people do constitute whitewashing.

But if I say Ancient Egyptians were blackwashed, everyone will accuse me of being racist. Despite that they weren’t Sub-Saharans, and current representation as black people do constitute blackwashing.
