It’s a little annoying because the dominant smart bulbs in #Belgium talk to the cloud. Fuck that. I bought into the #iDual system precisely because it does not connect to the cloud & does not require proprietary software. But another warning: some bulbs automatically turn on in a warm lighting mode which forces you to pick up the remote everytime. No way to change the default mode

Warning about #iDual lightbulbs & fixtures: the company seems to have sunk as idual.com times out & was “under construction” last March (http://web.archive.org/web/20230321084210/idual.com/). These devices are being sold by #brico as #finDeSeries (iow, no returns). I thought I was just buying old models but apparently there is no future w/this brand.
