Love this enamel and metal thistle on the door of an old bank on Dumbarton Road in the Partick area of Glasgow. Randomly stumbling across glorious little details like this is one of the main reasons I love living in Glasgow.

Pirate Girl, Glasgow.
This mural by the grafitti artist Rogue One can be found in the Barras area of Glasgow. It's one of my favourite Glasgow murals, mostly because it's a great bit of art which adds some much needed colour to the streets, but also because I've just finished a kids picture book about a young female pirate!
