One of the strongest indicators that I'm happy and using mastodon is that I just crossed 1k followers which is more than ALL of my other social platforms COMBINED! The others I find so disappointing that they are so heavily controlled by an algorithm dictating what I see and which people see me. Mastodon is working for me exactly as I would expect, put in effort, get back effort. I f*cking love it.
