Wrapped up #incowrimo today with 28 pieces of #snailmail written. I made good use of postcards this year as I didn’t always have time to sit down and write a letter.

@alisynthesis If you need help to find excuses to write, try letter writing. #incowrimo was set up by a fountain pen fanatic (involved in pen shows), and February is International Correspondence Writing Month.

@qurlyjoe @zheng3_jim Yes, I still write letters. I do have two letters to post when I seal them up with wax, and affix real postage stamps. They'll be going from the UK to the US. February is International Correspondence Writing Month (or #incowrimo for short).

@ana I haven't done #incowrimo before and might set a smaller number for my goal. But I'd love to join you for 14. What tips have you got for a beginner like me? 🖊✒️✉️

It’s February! And that means we’re back in that lovely month of the year that has an extra focus on snailmail.
I have been writing letters since I was 8 years old and I still love to sit down and put my fountain pen to paper. Some of my faraway friends go waaay back.

@yukari I am enabling my friends who attempt #incowrimo: they can double, triple, quadruple letters to me if they need a calendar day filled. I am cutting envelopes out of expired wall calendars and working on my reply pile but no, not participating in #incowrimo, not initiating letters with posted public addresses

@cosullivan @snailmail I’m not sure if I’ll be actively participating. I missed it last year, too much going on in life. I hope I can do it though. Last year was the first time I missed #incowrimo since I started corresponding.

If I choose to participate in #InCoWriMo 2023, it'll be with apologetic and full letters to people on my reply pile, and keeping up with my current flow. If I have up to a week's worth of new #Mastodon names and addresses offering reciprocity I'll make the effort, but I won't write to new people on the main InCoWriMo websites. #SnailMail @snailmail
