I had never in my life encountered a push button sick stopper until now and I am not entirely convinced it’s better than the traditional kind. I figured out intuitively how it works but not without some confusion and it also feeling stuck and needing just the right press to make it work. Crazy, these things.

I'm not a petrol head by any standard, but I do love technology and industrial design. So I was thoroughly impressed by Museum Louwman in The Hague.
Such a huge collection of cars from the very beginning up to now, lots of unique items, including cars owned by Churchill and Elvis, and a Bond car (from Goldfinger)

51 followers · 994 posts · Server troet.cafeI am still waiting for one of the major brands to come out with a laptop that does have the power switch in a location that is easily accessible when the lid is closed and a current iPhone that has no buttons on one side, so you can't accidentally take photos or lock the device when holding it like a human.
<rant>Alas everybody copies arbitrary design choices, while at the same time refusing to commit to a standard when it comes to interoperability.</rant>

I understand, intellectually, why the buttons on a new elevator might include "YES" and "NO", in case an emergency operator needs to ask riders a question and it's hard to hear what they're saying.
But my first reaction was, exhaustedly, "I need to make even more decisions?!"

It seems like the camera points perpendicularly and directly in front. And since its at the top of the screen, this results in too high a camera angle, placing your head just below of center when you’re more or less looking perpendicularly to the screen.
The camera needs to either tilt down slightly or allow manual adjustment. Otherwise, placing your eyes at the upper 1/3 position, the screen needs to point down slightly.
