Today marks #InternationalMuseumDay! The @HornimanMuseum in #London’s Forest Hill won the 2022 @artfund #MuseumOfTheYear award last year. We loved capturing these aerial photos for them showcasing the museum’s historic building and beautiful gardens.

I'm told it's International Museum Day and, in a convenient concatenation of circumstances, I've just finished Mr Wilson's Cabinet of Wonder, which is a non-fiction book because it says on the front that it was a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize for Nonfiction and obviously a non-fiction book would never mislead you.

The first part, Inhaling the Spore, details the author's interactions with the Museum of Jurassic Technology, which is a museum as sure as eggs is eggs. The second, Cerebral Growth, examines the relationship of museums to cultural authority, without argumentum ab auctoritate. The third, Notes, is a series of notes.*

*Note that notes are not necessarily notable, corrections can be incorrect, and non-fiction is a subjective categorisation.

For #internationalmuseumday I bring you my #Lego #Museum display at #Brickresales #Brisbane. It's not the best picture. But starting at the top, we have a 1:1 scale baby mosasaur, a human skeleton, a trilobite, and ankylosaurus and two "rock fossils" at the very back of a different trilobite and prawn thing haha. None of those are designed by me.
The next shelf is some duplo builds and some of the 3 in 1 dinosaur sets.
The third and fourth shelf are my Lego museum. All my designs.

For #InternationalMuseumDay, my son and I filled in for employees at our history museum. A group of old-timers stopped by, and they had a blast reminiscing about country schools and posing with their favorite dresses in our costume collection.

African art with such a deep significance were, w/i the bounds of Western civilisation, “things”. Through the editing, photography & dialogue they speak to the viewer, escaping the institute's walls. This voice was enough for the CNC to cut ⅔ of the film; the segment that's not blatantly #AntiColonial, was to be watched.
