Today has been crap, as befits the 97th day of January. I hope that everyone who's been living on toast and cereal for the past week has got paid in time to get to the supermarket and buy something nice for dinner.

I've taken duck out of the freezer and I'm having that.

This is always the problem post Christmas. And I'm willing to bet it's a serious contributor to the #JanuaryBlues. Since tidying away our tree and all the decorations, even our fairly small space seems entirely barren.

The world is already Too Much in 2023, so I'm keeping my Christmas decorations up until after Orthodox Christmas. I'm having mulled wine tonight in the light of twinkly fairy lights. You can't stop me. Nooone can. NO ONE.
