My new mending project! I'm working on some worn out socks my grandma has knitted for me many years ago. I think I caught it at the right moment where the thread was thinned out but there weren't any holes ripped yet. It's very nice to simply retrace the stitched with the mending yarn! Very meditative! I picked the yarn (inherited from my other granny) slightly different from the original to be able to tell the stitches apart more easily. #MendingNotBuying #Mending #KnittedSocks #AutisticJoy

I haven't done any knitting since the summer due to my arthritis, so today when I picked it up again I was pleased my fingers still worked 😊 This is going to be a pair of socks for grandaughter Isabelle eventually. The pattern is Mosaic socks by @winwickmum . These are in Regia 4 ply colour 01132 and West Yorkshire Spinners Signature 4ply colour 010 Milk Bottle. Hopefully I'll be able to finish the pair this time 🤞🏻

One sock finished and it is lovely! I'm really glad with how the texture pattern turned out too (Hermione's Everyday Socks).
These fit perfectly and are just so soft (that'll be the merino wool/nylon blend then) and cosy feeling.
I'm so glad that sock knitting is one of my challenges for the coming year cos my feet are going to love me!
The 2nd sock is already on the needles :D I will have a new pair by christmas day!

@SiobhanCorc I love knitting socks with a 9inch circular needle. I always do cuff down and I prefer an afterthought heel. Try Very Pink Knits. She usually has a lot of tutorials that are done well. And I hold my yarn in my left hand but I still tend to throw my yarn…. I’m not a normal knitter but it works well for me. #knitting #knittedsocks #socks

So I just had a 4 day weekend this one just gone... and it was so chilled!
This GORGEOUS skein of #wool was calling my name so I bought it from the shop and used the same shop's swift and winder before I could start sock #knitting with it.

I'm going to be using the pattern from Hermione's Everyday Socks (free on ravelry) to make it something more than just plain #knittedsocks but also still let the colours get shown off.
