Along with the scenes of

* getting shit-faced
* carrying people on your back

* getting your car rammed into from the side by a large truck &
* eating

I have learned this last year and a half that K-dramas regularly feature

* fart scenes

I just needed to share this and say this show The Guest I find so good until the emotionally rapid jarring switches towards the end that I ended up laughing.

One second I was crying and then the music doesn’t even finish. Just abruptly switches and I don’t think a person finish the emotional scene how fast they switched and at first I was like… ok… that was weird but then they did it again! 🤦🏽‍♀️

Still it was good though.

Was scrolling on Netflix and saw that I stopped watching The Uncanny Counter quite some time ago. I want to get back to it - also watch some other newer shows like All of Us Are Dead.

But it does seem like Koreans can't for the life of them write a school drama without bullying as a major plot point - or at least a very exaggerated bullying as an important secondary plot point. And many times of course will involve a Chaebol too.

I am a fan of Korean movies and TV. Right now, Reborn Rich is airing and it is the most satisfying series of revenge against oligarchic kleptocratic capitalism. Three episodes a week. I am sure Americans will buy the rights and make an American version but I don't think it will match the Korean one.
