A eaflet from Lewisham council was the incentive Wendy Lewis needed to take the green plunge. It offered residents the chance to buy solar panels more affordably through a collective scheme, Solar Together.

She paid the £2,000 deposit in November, but four months and three failed installation dates later, she is yet to receive her panels or her requested refund. So, reportedly, are scores of other customers who were matched to GET.

Lewisham Council has apologised for the fact that a “human error” caused by a shortage of staff has led to the construction of a 5G mast in Sydenham.

The land where this will be built is at Amberley Grove, Upper Sydenham, Forest Hill in Lewisham at the postcode SE26 6BP.

The flooding continues after heavy rain making this pedestrian crossing impassable for all but the gumbooted. Plus the pavement for those not prepared to be 'hosed' by an inconsiderate motorist.
