Finally had a chance to finish reading London in the Wild (in my local park of course). Great to have all London's exciting wildlife sites compiled in one place. Will have to make my way around to the ones I've not seen yet.

£108,000 Lottery grant helps to ‘reunite’ Great North Wood

Two of the last surviving fragments of the ancient Great North Wood are to be “reunited” in an exciting and innovative project led by the London Wildlife Trust, funded by cash from the National Lottery, which aims to preserve and enhance “a priceless and irreplaceable green lung”.

Really love hearing about the work London Wildlife Trust is doing with youth. Youth programmes are entirely how I got into the environment sector originally.
