Learning to spin on a drop spindle (can spin on a wheel so this is something new). Much dropping and spinning, and not too different from a wheel beyond a bit less control over consistency.

Made a bouquet of socks in Malabrigo Ultimate Sock -- I figured I'd try it out. Very nice to knit with, and the socks are really soft and stretchy! #knitting #malabrigo

Finished the handwarmers for @woozle!

Since I knit them #2aaT I used 2 separate hanks of the same yarn but the dyelots were apparently slightly different! W doesn't mind 'cause she's sweet ^_^

So, New Issue:

I hadn't realized that all the purple #malabrigo I have that I haven't used yet, is not single ply, which is what I've been using for the shawl thus far... Will multi-ply yarn not play nice with single ply?? I just do not know 😕

Executive Decision Making broken? Time for a poll!

Backstory: I decided I did not like the contrast the variegated yarn was doing with the previous colors so I tinked back all 3 rows but now I cannot decide what to do next. The only colors I have in #malabrigo are the ones already in the shawl & varying shades of dark purple (same type, Rios, but different dyelots) (Note: All the other single ply wools I have are not as chunky and probably would not play well with the malabrigo.)

So, in light of that:
Which colors do I use next for my #SycamoreCreek?

So, I've started the next yarn for my Sycamore Creek shawl & I'm kindof having second thoughts about it... whereas the previous colors were nice (mostly) solid primary & secondary colors, this one is a bit murky and I'm not sure I can live with the contrast... what to do what to do...

Oof, kinda fell off the fediverse today... will hopefully catch up tomorrow.. it'll be sketchy since, y'know, this silly Not Solstice thingy happening over the weekend ;p

But hey! Progress on the shawl! It got big enough to move it to a 60" cable but then I had to stop because the cable pulled off the needle, not once but *twice*, so off to Webs I went to order a new one... so the shawl will be paused till it gets here, probly after the hols.
