@bookstodon I just finished #MalibuRising by #TaylorJenkinsReid and I really liked it. It’s a beautiful look at family trauma and how it progresses over the generations. It has some really good character development and arcs for the key characters plus even more side characters that all come together at this crazy party that goes sideways in a genuinely humorous finale. My biggest critique is that we maybe didn’t need allllll of those side characters. #Bookstodon
