Pip & trump: Yesterday a friend connected with me for a quick Spring Equinox/ Mabon reading.

Winter Solstice: Hello sunshine! The light has dimmed & now returns, reborn.

This Solstice is always marked when the Sun reaches Capricorn 0'. The keyword here truly is "empowerment."

Light a candle, sort the trumps out from your fave deck & shuffle them 6 times. Search through for the Sun card.

Set that down & count out the cards behind it, placing the 6th card down.

Shuffle the remaining trumps 3 times & count 6 again. Select that 6th card & set it down.

Read these 3 cards together as how you can renew & regenerate your own power this season.

If you like stones, carry citrine, amber or yellow diamond for 3 days. Wear gold, if it flatters you.

And if you can, try to use some saffron in your cooking. Or try making a nice fruit centerpiece of oranges, lemons, & grapefruits.

Final Advent Sunday approaching: These last few days of Advent focus on Love, which is a path we consciously build & choose on a daily basis.

I suppose that considering all that's happening this year, Advent may be more meaningful than usual, as everyone seeks to find some light out of the dark heavy struggles of 2022.

Today's question: "What does Love even look like any more?" This draw suggests we recall how Love is always there at the root, once we seek it & then dedicate ourselves to realizing it in the world.

When we give these things to others & ourselves, there we find true partnership - Love in action. ❤

Consider asking yourself this question for your own layout. Don't hesitate to take the whole week digesting your cards as you journal.

Here's where I'm staying by the river, the fields are covered in frost now every day. But the river itself doesn't freeze - it flows strongly on, even as the last wild geese honk their seasonal goodbye.

Love in our lives can be that same always-flowing river. As TdM lovers, we know that every deck contains its own living river, which both generates & carries the teaching of love & compassion within the images. @ranageorge always reminds us how powerful a conduit water is.

If you're lighting candles, try a lavender one this week. And if you like stones, hold or visualize white marble - the material of artistic realization - during your daily meditation on love.

Welcome to the 3rd Sunday in Advent, known as Gaudete, after an old Gregorian chant traditionally sung on this day.

The theme is "hope & rejoicing." (The layout can be found earlier in my feed.)

Naturally many folks are stymied by this one, which can feel difficult, esp. here in 2022.

If you have your gratitude jar, reach into it now & rejoice for whatever you draw out. No jar? I encourage you all to start one today, even if they seem out of fashion.

Otherwise, look back in your tarot journal for 3 things that strike you:

* What fed you when you felt low?
* Who or what comforted you when you felt abandoned or hopeless?
* Where or how did you find the mercy of forgiveness or self-forgiveness when you needed it?

Rejoice for those. And consider how all these play out in your own draw. If nothing else, please rejoice in creating a new resolve to overcome that which makes you feel powerless. R
