Statue in Govan commemorating the life and campaigning work of Mary Barbour, particularly her role in the rent strikes of 1915.

The statue depicts Mary leading a group of up to twenty thousand people to the Glasgow small debts court to protest the prosecution of tenants for non-payment of rents on the 17th of November 1915. The directly led to a change in the law to restrict rents to pre-war levels.
