Didnt expect much from #MatoAnomalies #rpg #videogame but the distinctive #cyberpunk #noir presentation along with its jargon laced western translation from the original chinese, seems to imbue it with a cryptic lore of its own & you're left swimming in a detective shamanic hacking demon shredding corpo dystopian gang future where worker unions & shadowy freedom fighters are your friends & the tools by which you fight back!

It has some quirks to the #jrpg tropes & layers a 'mind hacking' card game & visual novel style presentation & character depth that just adds to the mystique.

I seemed to be invested in it for the things it wasn't explaining openly more than for the heroic adventure. Cementing a more supernatural Blade Runner vibe that just titillates me.

Granted it is broad in scope and stitched together loosely, but it hits a cool awkward tone that just resonates hidden depth.
