#SynthSaturday bonus content
The MB6582 pictured earlier in the thread is my own that I built. It’s an open-source design that incorporates SID chips to generate all sounds.
The #SIDchip was the audio chip used for the #Commodore64 home computer. A C64 had just one SID. My #MB6582 has eight SID chips.

#Synths come in huge variety of shapes and sizes and form factors. Some have piano-like keyboards, some have little button keyboards in the shape of a piano keyboard, and some don’t have keyboards at all. Some are palm-sized, some are taller than me.

@Jyoti favorite #vintagesynthesizer: #ARP2600 probably? It sounds great, it can do simple or complex, and it’s got some interesting design decisions that set it apart from similar synths
Favorite #newsynthesizer: might be cheating because it’s DIY only and existed for fifteen years now, but #MB6582. It’s got 8 SID chips for four stereo voice, a knobby interface, and an absurdly powerful mod matrix. What’s not to love?!
