Logged into a “paid” #MediaTemple account that was now fully migrated to #GoDaddy after years of just being slowly destroyed by them — and was greeted with this — stay #classy GoDaddy, stay classy. 🤦🏻‍♂️

After some research, it looks as if Opalstack is at the top of my list of potential new hosts. Does anyone here have any experience with them? It's going to be a colossal pain in the ass to migrate 20+ years of web content on multiple domains (including three million words of writing and 500+ hours of podcasts I've made over the years). But I cannot even send an email to anyone at Media Temple and the phone wait is 147 minutes. I've been with MT for 17 years. But if this (and their disgraceful DNS mangling) is the way they reward loyalty, I have no other choice.

All of my sites are down, thanks to Media Temple. DNS problems. Can't reach anyone in support. Can anybody recommend a solid host? Christ, I'm going to have to devote a weekend to migrating everything.

Continued migration away from #mediatemple — the host that #GoDaddy x⸑x killed.

Huh...

Media Temple just emailed me that I'm a value customer, and they're being absorbed by GoDaddy. This will be a positive experience, and my accounts with them will be migrated within 30 days. I'm assured that my costs will not change, and I'll continue to receive industry-leading service + support.

The thing is, I haven't had an account with them for nearly two years, and I left them because they couldn't get their shit together -- much as receiving this email demonstrates.
