An estimated thirty million Americans, many in rural regions, live at least an hour’s drive from a #hospital with #trauma care. Limited access to #ER services and medical staff can increase in mortality rates and long-term health problems.
Turns out a lot of #Medicad and #Medicare patients, as well uninsured folks, aren’t within a 60-minute drive, either. And #maternity care deserts always seem to be growing.
I wonder about this a lot.
These states are along the I-65 corridor.
