6.149 Black #Kites, 264 European Bee-eaters, 199 White #Storks, 189 Booted Eagles, 53 Short-toed #Eagles 13 European Honey Buzzards, 3 Egyptian Vultures.
3 Bonelli’s Eagles including an adult that took out a migrating Booted Eagle! A Rüppell’s #Vulture drifted in and an Eleanora’s #Falcon whizzed through !

With well over 5,000 Black Kites crossing the divide here yesterday and nearly 2,000 White #Storks, Booted and Short-toed #Eagles Egyptian #Vultures, European Honey #Buzzard - this juvenile Griffon #Vulture joined the #migration party attempting it’s “youth-dispersal” to the #Sahel but turning back to have a rest and another attempt !

1,289 Black #Kites crossed The #Straits this morning with 13 Booted #Eagles and 68 Short-toed Eagles crossing alongside them. This immature Short-toed #Eagle took a little break next to us, perhaps to get in the #migratory #mindfulness required !

With a strengthening #poniente wind today Black Kites amassed around the valleys of The #Straits attempting to cross but many waiting for better conditions. As Booted and Short-toed Eagles joined their growing numbers, a group of 178 White Storks showed them how it's done!

Here they come ! Black #Kites now entering The #Straits today with several gorgeous juveniles among them. 380 White #Storks making the crossing and a Lanner Falcon was observed !

Yesterday evening we happened upon 700+ Black Kites and 5 Egyptian Vultures making a late in the day push for Europe and we were bang in the middle of their vortex!

Yesterday was a day for Short-toed Eagles crossing The #Straits with 739 logged !
We also counted 563 Black Kite, 45 Egyptian Vulture, 43 White Stork, 6 Black Stork, 4 Eurasian Sparrowhawk, 5 Western Marsh Harrier and 2 Osprey with 101 Crag Martins moving through our zone!

The strengthening poniente wind has been forcing a lot of the soaring migrants to the Eastern end of The #Straits today....and that is right where we decided to be!
103 Black Stork, 44 Egyptian Vulture, 965 Black Kite. 17 Short-toed Eagle dominated the sky as Barn and Red-rumped Swallows, House and Crag Martins, Iberian Yellow Wagtail and more piled into #Europe.
