A few weeks ago I was doing some research and found out that a painting that hung on my ship during the Korean War was at a local historical society. I looked into visiting them and remembered that I was giving a lecture there. (I do these a lot, I can never remember where I'm going next)

It was nice to come full circle and see it in person today.

This section of the #ship has been closed to the public for at least a decade due to the deterioration of the deck. Today, after a year of hard work it's finally open!

In addition to preserving the historic vessel and just looking a lot better, this makes the #museum much more accessible now that there aren't potholes all over.
