I continue to strike out in my search for rare ducks and geese BUT I did find a Peregrine Falcon and a flock of ten Rusty Blackbirds today… The latter pretty rare in these parts. That’s 85 birds for the year so far

Stunning Harlequin Ducks among the usual cast of characters at Barnegat Lighthouse SP in New Jersey today. Three #LIFER birds for me in the surf too: Razorbill, Dovekie and Horned Grebe, but they were not such cooperative photo subjects as the ducks

#My200BirdYear ended yesterday with me hitting 237 species. I tried, and failed, to get 200 just here in the PA/NJ/DE area, finishing so close on 197. I found 40 lifers including super rare visitors to PA in Brown Booby and Wood Stork. Highlight was this Snowy Owl in Lancaster County, PA. Fairly happy with the haul considering we had a baby in March and that interrupted the #birding quite a bit lol
