"Damnation Alley" by Roger Zelazny is a post-apocalyptic book.
The plot is simple enough - a few decades after nuclear WW III, a criminal motorcycle gang member from LA, named Hell Tanner, is offered full pardon for his crimes if he is willing to deliver essential medicine to plagued Boston via "Damnation Alley": the least dangerous route.

"Hawksbill station" is a political novel written by Robert Silverberg in 1967-68.
The gist of the story is about political prisoners sent back one billion(!) years into the past as a one-way ticket.
So, we learn about the life at Hawkbill station (as it is called), as well as the story of how the US became a dictatorship and of the resistance.
Fit's nicely with today's Israel, ha ha 😔

"The web of the chozen", the 1978 book by Jack L. Chalker is an interesting book.
Its not great literature, but it touches upon what makes us human, with an interesting premise, interesting science and a little bit of action.
It is the story of Bar Holiday - a space ranger seeking new plantes suitable for expanding humanity.
Then, he finds a perfect world. or is it?

"A dark universe" by Daniel Galouye is a good book.
#my_old_scifi_books
It tells about a human soceity that exist underground in total darkness after a nuclear holocaust.
They developed a whole religion based on darkness (evil) & light, thou light lost its meaning.

I re-read Arthur C. Clarke's "Emperial Earth".
#My_old_scifi_books
I didnt like it very much.
The book is set about 300 years in the future. Humans colonized the solar system. Earth is stagnant, and nostalgic.
The hero of the book is a 3rd gen leader of the colony on Titan, invited to Earth for the 500 years celebration of American revolution.
A lot of the book is dedicated to space-travel/colony life and to future-earth turism.

A favorite one of #my_old_scifi_books is Robert A. Heinlein's "The star beast".
This is one of his juvenile books, but it is fun and interesting also for my old age.
The book is set about 200-300 years in the future.
Earth is part of a human-alien coalition of nearby stars.
The book begins with telling us about Lammox, an 8-legged rhino-sized alien pet who gets bored and hungry, so he escapes his human owner's back yard.

"The space merchants", published in 1952, is a warning against climate change and corporate America.
But it's not a good book, and it is outdated by many accounts (but do have some inovative ideas).
#my_old_scifi_books
Written by Fredrick Pohl & C.M. Kornbluth, it is set around our time. The hero is a high-ranking copywriter at one of the biggest companies in the US, which actually controls many industries, including all of India (the sub-continent).

It took me less than 2 day to read the next of #my_old_scifi_books
"The stars my destination" by Alfred Bester is a very good book.
It is set in the 25th century, when the human race not only colonized the whole solar system, but also mastered a novel ability: teleportation.
The book opens with a dry, article-style, depiction of how personal teleportation aka "jaunting" was discovered in the 24th century.

"The ship who sang" by Anne McCaffrey is #ScienceFiction fi book composed of several stories published in the 1960's.
This is the far far future, humans are all over the galaxy. Some humans born deformed but with normal brain are grown to become a brain that controls a spaceship. Basically, the whole body is put in a titanium container, the ships are controled by these persons.

A few months ago I started a series called #my_old_scifi_books on the birdsite.
Copying here, and plan to continue the series.
Following a short discussion with
@Astronomi (birdsite) i got nostslgic to some of my old sci-fi books.
So, I'll post here short reviews.
Most of my books are Hebrew translations, so there could be differences with the original.
I began with "The Tsaddick of the seven wonders" by Isidore Haiblum.
