Thanks for the reminder from #NewtonTalk:
"Twenty seven years ago today, Newton OS 2.0 received the “Mobility Award for System Software” at the Mobile Insights ’96 conference … beating out other contenders including Microsoft Windows 95, General Magic’s Magic Cap, and Geoworks’ Geos."

Newton Technology is excellent at what it was designed for. I discovered it after it was obsolete, and immediately started using it for all of my notes. Its calendar and address book and to do list all work on their own, and sync is possible with serial or WiFi.

@Jyoti I didn’t find out that Newton Technology existed until it had been obsolete for years. So all of my gadgets were bought used. I’m on the #NewtonTalk mailing list http://newtontalk.net
Lots to learn here about Mastodon but it does make me grin about when I hosted a site on my Apple #Newton several years after the product was dropped but user base wouldn't let it die. It still hasn't, thing green! #newtontalk
