Disease of the #patriarchy: one of the major sources of #AirPollution is hidden in our basements and #utility closets. Gas #appliances in #buildings generate four times as much smog-forming #pollutants as all of California’s gas #PowerPlants combined. Here in the Bay Area, they contribute more #lungdamaging #nitrogenoxide pollution than the region’s passenger cars.

#EPA finalizes first clean trucks rule in 21 years, but it could be better
New rule starts in model year 2027 and is up to 80% stronger than current standard. It will reduce #smog-forming #nitrogenoxide (#NOx) #emissions from trucks by ~half by 2045
