@snarfed.org I'd note that Mastodon has an API that's on par with your average #normieMedia site. No ActivityPub needed; it's just OAuth and JSON.

At first I preferred #normieMedia because the #Fediverse felt like it was too nice for me (a troll).

But I'm so glad I can post things here and not have to worry about some contrarian jackass jumping in my mentions.

I'm starting to self-reflect about my own behavior and I'm learning to keep my pedantic mouth shut more often and just let people enjoy things.

The more good people who leave #normieMedia sites the worse it's gonna get over there.

From this point on I will be referring to #Web2 #socialMedia corpos as #normieMedia
