I learned on very short notice that a potential presidential candidate is speaking locally, this morning. I just couldn't get there in time, in spite of my trying.

This has happened once before, very recently, with another candidate. It's either poor reporting by the local media, or poor communications by the candidate's organizers.

Stuck at Þingvellir due to closed roads and bad weather, it snowed tons a few nights ago and then we got a storm before they could open all roads again.
