Meanwhile, I'm impressed that Mastodon suggested #NumismaticsSocial (even if it forgot the #CamelCase) when I was originally writing #Numismatics. As far as I can tell the longer one has been used only twice before. Can I dare to hope that Mastodon is getting better at finding things?

For all the users on numismatics.social*: I frequently post on political issues. And no, I don’t put content warnings on my political posts.

If you find that you're having to scroll through “too many fucking posts about politics” to get to posts that actually interest you, you have several options:

1. Create a filter that blocks all posts that include the word “politics”;

2. Block, or mute, individual users who talk about politics too much for your liking;

3. Block, or mute, entire instances where all that the users seem to do is talk about politics;

4. Ask your instance admin to defederate from those instances.

There’s one thing you shouldn’t do under any circumstances: get into my mentions, or anybody else’s mentions, bitching about people who don’t put a #CW on their posts about politics. Don’t be the drunk uncle at family Christmas who everybody has to pander to by avoiding conversation topics that are going to set him off.

Sick of that shit from you guys.
