Finally on top of this little world! ❤️ and no, this is not a mythical greek island, it's less than 70 km from Rome! Hercules temple ( Sillan age, Silla first destroyed the Marian Cora, then reconstructed it better than before); a church until it was bombed in WWII, then the temple resurfaced. Many more churches, palaces and private houses in Cori share a similar origin and story

Destination was a very special sanctuary, Santa Maria di Guadagnolo; probably the older Christian sanctuary of all, established by Emperor Costantino and dedicated to Martyr Eustachio, later converted to Marian worship. It sits on a precipitous crop, a very scary road in winter ( about 1000mt high, I ‘ve been there in the snow got the scare of my life)
