We made the last of a ham (and other stuff, of course) into split pea soup and it was good, but it needed something…

you know I try to keep it spicy so after cooking I was running low on a few different things and got to put an order in with #Penzeys which had an outlet store near where I used to live and speaks loud about the social justice angle, you may say they lay it on thick even, and I love that. Aslso, make sure to smell their vietnamese cinnamon, it's for special. They have a Southwest Seasoning I add to black beans, but not Goya beans, who earned the grudge while Trump was putting kids in cages.

My cinnamon swirl bread, based on the recipe found in Brother Dominic’s BAKING BREAD. I do tend to add a bit more cinnamon than his recipe calls for, as well as a bit more sugar.
