Am looking for recommendations for #perennialvegetable for #interplanting with shrubs and small trees. So far I use walking onions, garlic chives, strawberries, caucasian spinach and will soon get wild hyacinth. Any other ideas? They should either be low growing covers or higher growing slim stalky growers like onions and MUST have pleasant taste...?

Hablitzia Tamnoides, Caucasian Spinach, is another 5/ #interplantingveg favorite: It's a perennial climber or cover crop which seems to prefer shade or semi-shade in zone 7 mainland Europe. It's quite prolific in our total shade balcony container!
You can mix it in with and use it like salad, spinach or swiss chard.
